Welcome to the Voice Over IP

UTB/TSC switched to a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) system on June 25th.  The campus community should be patient with the new system as it will take time to remove all the glitches that may exist in programming of pickup groups, hunt groups, voice mail, and long distance access codes.


Please, check your fax machine by faxing a test page to another office and vice versa. 

 

Fax machines must be set to TONE (NOT PULSE).   To check this, pick up the handset or press the speaker button on your fax and press a few numbers on the keypad.   You should hear one tone per key press, not clicks.

 

Please review the "Resource (e-training & user guides)" link on the left which has tutorials, manuals, and quick-reference cards for your phone.  It is especially important to review the Transfer and Pickup procedures as they frequently used are very different with the new VoIP system.

 

If you experience a problem with your phone or fax, please open a Track-It request with the Help Desk so that the reported problems can be resolved quickly.  This will help us streamline the requests.
